My Tim Holtz Adventure

This past weekend I traveled 3hrs with my friend Laura Casey,
to a quaint little town in Connecticut called Old Staybrook, where  one of it's local Scrapbooking stores Beautiful Impressions  hosted a event featuring Tim Holtz

I have to say for me, what a thrill it was to have the opportunity to meet and take two classes
 from the awesome Tim Holtz
Mario Rossi, Mary Castilla, Maura Hibbitts, Tim Holtz, Me and Laura Casey.
(Maura and Mary joined us Saturday for the afternoon class).

Now not only were the classes being taught by Tim, we were also right on the ocean.
It was a cold windy day in Ct. but really does it get any better... Tim, good friends. and the ocean.

Out classroom and its beautiful view of the ocean.

In the morning class we worked on a small Journal Book called
Journeys of the Past
Tim showed us the techniques he used to create this little work of art using his
stains, inks and paints and stamps.

 Getting started
The really nice part of taking his classes is that everything you need to make this project is in kit form it's all cut to size, and all supplies and product are provided for you, all you need to bring to class is yourself and your creativity which isn't hard when being inspired by Tim

My tags are inked, stained, distressed and ready to embellish and assemble.

Project Completed.

Lunch Break
Mary and Maura joined me for a box lunch, we decided to eat outside but it was
a little cold and windy. (oh where is Mary.)

The Sample Configuration Book

 Getting
Started

(Thanks Maura for sharing Pictures) my batteries died in camera

The configuration Book was fun to work on, once we covered all the surfaces and inked them we were ready to embellish again.

In this little box is Tim's new lantern, it's battery powered, Tim showed us his little secret to hide the battery pack...who would of thought..but that's why he's the GURU....lol.

I had 5hrs to work on my book but honestly I did not get it completed, I am not sure it anyone did but that's OK I don't think you were expected to complete it.  The class was more to teach you techniques. And have FUN.

Tim walking around the class answering questions and helping.
