A Wonderful Art Experience

Call me crazy, but last weekend my friend Sue and I drove 4 hours one way to Cape Code to take a 2 hr. class with Cheryl Mezzetti an accomplished designer and artist who works in the paper arts industry. Once there, and the class had started I had no regrets about getting up at 4 am and starting this journey into her altered world.

Cheryl started us out with a kit that consisted of 7gypsies chipboard covers, chipboard, canvas mat boards, canvas material and showed us how to turn it into a work of art. She took us through a journey with all the latest and greatest mixed media products to hit the market.

Cheryl motivated and educated us with knowledge about ways of using Luminarte H20's, Radiant Rain Sprayers and the new Primary Elements and Silks. She eagerly shared her knowledge and enthusiasm of Luminarte and Viva Colours with a glimpse into her wonderful altered world.
Thank you Cheryl for teaching such an inspiring class.

The rest of the weekend was spent with Sue and her sister and brother in law (Brenda and Tony).
Tony played tour guide for me and gave Sue and I a wonderful tour of the East Harwich.

Thank you to Brenda and Tony for     welcoming me into their beautiful home on the cape.

“Patchwork Pandemonium”

I recently took a class at Captured Moments in Rotterdam, NY  my favorite scrapbooking store, where I created  a variation Tim Holtz’s  “Patchwork Pandemonium”.

In a 4 hour period of time I created a framed 8×10 art piece made of  patch worked pieces of grunge board compilation, and adorned them with Ideology trinkets and Tim Holtz’s collection of stamps from Stampers Anonymous.  The grunge board pieces were altered with texture fades, distress stains, inks, paints, tapes, all which resulted in a one of kind piece.  Many thanks to our instructor Annette for making this class possible.
